Maverick Commins started his real estate career with his father at the age of 15 in his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. Together, they bought, updated, and sold turn-of-the-century Victorian estates. His goal with the venture was to save enough money to go abroad for college, and he soon found himself studying in London, England. There, he worked as an art director for Sotheby’s, where he was first introduced to the high-end auction industry.
After graduating with an international degree in sales and marketing, Maverick was offered a position as real estate sales director for a luxury real estate resort company. In just a few short years, he developed a unique accelerated marketing program to sell luxury real estate; it produced unprecedented results throughout the world. Maverick’s achievements earned him the role of equal partner, and he and his partner built the firm to become the largest real estate resort marketing/sales company in the world. After enjoying over 20 years of success, the partners sold to one of the largest real estate firms in Europe.
Maverick returned to the US ready to retire in Scottsdale, Arizona at the age of 40, but he quickly came to the realization that he was never going to be a golf pro. He chose to forego an early retirement and instead opened a boutique real estate firm specializing in unique luxury properties, adapting techniques similar to those he had perfected in the UK and over 70 countries around the world. In just 12 years, Supreme Auctions® has grown to become the largest luxury real estate auction firm in North America with 15 offices across the US as well as locations in London and Costa Rica.
As chairman and CEO of Supreme Auctions®, Maverick has affiliated his firm with Sotheby’s International Realty, Keller Williams Realty International, Re/Max, Berkshire Hathaway, Coldwell Banker and other luxury brokerages to offer his proprietary accelerated marketing program to their agents and brokers around the globe. Maverick is a licensed realtor, professional auctioneer and member of the prestigious Institute for Luxury Home Marketing.
